Naughty Little Leprechaun

Last week we had a naughty little leprechaun on the loose!  His footprints were everywhere!

leprechaun

On day one, he left green footprints leading up to the door.  He must not have been able to get in because we didn’t see any signs of him inside.  Then, on day two, he made a mess out of our preschool room!  Knocking over chairs, scattering toys… it was a mess!  We knew he had been there because we found green footprints on the floor, in the chairs and on the table!  We knew we needed to catch this naughty little leprechaun!  So, we made a leprechaun trap.  We put gold inside hoping to lure in him.  If you catch a leprechaun he has to lead you to his gold!!!

Well, on day three he was back.  This time in the bathroom.  He pottied in the toilet and turned it green (the toilet got flushed before I could take picture, but inspirations came from A Differentiated Kindergarten).  This sent roars of laughter throughout the house!  On the last day, our naughty leprechaun went into our trap and stole our gold, but he didn’t get caught!!!  Good thing he left us some Shamrock cookies after he stole our gold!

We were on Spring Break this week, which is why we had our St. Patrick’s Day fun last week.  Do you plan on having a naughty little leprechaun at your home or classroom??

  1. You have some of the cutest ideas! I am a preschool teacher, and today we painted our own little leprechaun houses (bird houses) with different shades of green paint and green glitter! Thanks for the extra fun ideas!

  2. Super cute. Can I ask how you got such perfect little feet. Are those stickers? How fun that day must have been. Thank you for sharing. Our naughty little guys made a small mess in our classroom and one went potty and forgot to flush the toilet, but at least he remembered to wash his hands, lol. Mrs. Valerie

  3. My oldest daughter is now 13 years old, when she was much younger one of her teachers did this for her whole class (I think she was in Kindergarten?) and she still talks about it! Im now homeschooling my youngest and plan on doing this for her when she is a bit older and will understand the whole story that goes with the theme. Very cute!
