Day 7: Tot School
Well, this tot school post is a little late, but I wanted to share with you what is on C's tot trays this week.
Sequencing by size: Candy cane graphics to sort from little to big or large to small. Found in the Jingle Bell Learning Pack in the Me and Marie Learning Store.
Gingerbread Run Gameboard: Also a part of the Jingle Bell Learning Pack, this gameboard is perfect for the younger board game crowd. It has less spaces to move making it a shorter game for shorter attention spans! Instead of a dice, we are using a milk carton lid programmed with a number 1 on one side and a number two on the other. C will throw it in the air and move that many on the board. We are using the erasers found from this post as movers.
Gifts Grid Game: A counting and left to right progression game from the Jingle Bell Learning Pack. We are using 'pretty rocks' found at the Dollar Tree to cover spaces on the board. To play are we using the milk carton lid again. Throwing it in the air and covering that many spaces on the board with the 'pretty rocks'. Making sure the gifts on the board are covered from left to right, top to bottom.
Patterning with mini bows: We are using these mini bows and an egg carton to make AB patterns.
Pinch and sort erasers: C will use the tongs to pinch the eraser and transfer them to a cup in the muffin tin. I will encourage her to sort the erasers by style when transferring.
Cutting practice: Holiday cutting lines from the Jingle Bell Learning Pack.
