Calendar Time
We have a calendar, of course! It is a pocket chart calendar, which I love! It makes it very easy to add days and change them out. I have different calendar markers for each month. Come December I plan on using the patterning calendar cards from the Me & Marie Store. I started with non-patterning for the beginning of the year.
At the bottom of the calendar I have another form of patterning practice. We just started this a week ago. These are just laminated cards with stickers used to create AB and ABC patterns.
Today Is Brought to You By...
This is a poster I made long ago, but I still love. Inspired by Sesame Street, this poster is a quick and easy way to review shapes, letters, numbers and colors. A PDF version simliar to this one is available in the Me & Marie Store.
Colorful Cliffords: We use these fun colorful Cliffords to review colors and we use it as a word wall for color words. My sister made these long ago and are one of my favorites!
Number Train: I created this number train using a diecut machine. Each car on the number train has a number with the corresponding number of objects.
Weather Chart: This is a weather chart I altered from http://www.jmeacham.com/. We have a weather helper who looks out the window and tells us the weather. He or she places a sticker in the correct column on the chart. We talk about which type of weather has the most/least. I change these every month. Here is what we sing while the weather watcher is at the window:
Weather Watcher, Weather Watcher
What do you see? What do you see?Tell us what the weathers like, tell us what the weathers like,
Chloe please, Chloe please.
The classroom looks very colorful and wonderful for learning! XOXO

ReplyDeleteThanks for your support girls!
ReplyDeleteI really like the pictures of your classroom. I think it's really cool that you get to be in the classroom 2 days a week. It gives our "mommy brains" a rest and our "teacher brains" some exercise! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen will the Me & Marie Shop site be back up and working?
